winter is here

well, it seems as though winter is here to stay. we've had snow a couple of times already, though nothing has accumulated, and it is consistently cold. We've been kind of busy here, some friends came last weekend to visit, and i've had a couple big research projects due. A couple days ago we took tiger in to get nuetered. He seems a little calmer, but i haven't noticed a huge difference yet. Laurel's been looking into getting some additional work, she's been offered a part time job at a chocolateer shop, and she might be able to get some freelance design work, or she might get hired to help a floral designer, so we've got to figure which if any of those will work out. I had to register for classes for next semester already. It seems strange to think the semester is almost over. before i know it I'll be done with the first year of me masters.
i also got cast in show, just a small part, but that's probably good. The show is "The Ice Wolf" and its based on an Inuit (eskimo) legend. It should be cool. It shows in february.
not much else is happening. Laurel's birthday is this weekend. So we'll probably do something fun for that.
have a good week

all the leaves are...golden

well, fall is pretty much in full swing here. We've gotten lots of rainy days followed follow by days of really nice weather, followed by rainy days. All the leaves are starting to turn, and it is very lovely. This past weekend was Fall Break so we took a short trip to Holland, MI to visit friends. The drive across michigan was gorgeous. So many more colors here than fall in Iowa. The picture is of us at lake michigan this past weekend.
Laurel's pretty busy with work, which is good, cause we need the money, but bad, cause shes not around as much and she's usually pretty wiped out when she gets home. The good news is, she's getting a promotion and a raise this week.
Both of us have been down with colds for about a week now, so we're looking forward to that being over.
everything is going well with school and life. Hope yours is too.

so you probably would rather see pictures of us or where we live or work or go to school, but you're getting pictures of our cat. We are well, i am very busy with reading and writing and designing homework. Laurel is working about 40 hours a week (fortunately she usually works during the day so we can spend evenings together. I'm gonna audition for so plays for next sememster, so we'll see how that goes.
